It was a pleaseure meeting the Minister for Ageing and Mental Health Mr Mark Butler on Monday the 4th of March at the Forum held at the Peakhurst Bowling and Recreation Club.
The Aged Care Coordinator Ms Gurmeed Nelson was accompanied by K...CAC Publicity Officer Rose and 3 of our wonderful senior service users to discuss the issues related to seniors and the new Aged Care system being brought in by the Government. The Minister was very obliging and gave very straight forward answers to all of the questions asked of him and mingled well with our clients Ruth, Effie and Douglas. Daryl Melhams office presented all that attended with an Information Kit for Pensioners and Veterans Affairs. It was a very informative and interesting forum. We look forward to Minister Butler's visit to the Kingsgrove Community Aid Centre in the near future.
