It was definitely a cultural feast on Wednesday the 19th of March at KCAC, when we celebrated Seniors Week with the local community. The day was a great success with around 175 people in attendance. The KCAC Seniors Community Care video was launched on the day and is now available to view on our website, facebook page and on youtube. Many thanks to Olsens Funerals who provided the entertainment by Nata Forte with her beautiful singing, Hurstville Council who provided the colourful and entertaining belly dancers and all of the Staff and volunteers who worked hard all day to make it such a success. There was an array of food from different cultures provided and all who attended enjoyed the great atmosphere on the day.
We would like to thank all who came along to join in the festivities.
Special mention goes to our VIP guests who include Councillor Vince Badalati (Hurstville Council), Brenda Eggleton and David Linden (Hurstville Council), Mr Ian Todd (Manager of Kingsgrove RSL), Cathy Tambasco and Jim from Olsens Funerals, Lance Rickards (Mortdale Community Services), representatives of Rockdale Council and Rockdale Community Services and Jannene Hartman from St George Family Support Services. Many thanks also goes to Robert and Pauline from Southland Studios for all their work on the KCAC Seniors Community Care video.
